Gluten Free Process
Venerdi has moved to gas flushing of our gluten free bread to extend shelf life.
The long life bag is a barrier film bag to contain a 70% CO2 and 30% N2 mix of gases to replace air which contains these gases plus Oxygen. By removing the Oxygen we stop the moulds and bacteria growing. This does not change the normal staling process, so for the consumer fresh is best, however the bread will still toast well after the initial freshness period and this is how most of our consumers use the bread. The bread can still be frozen.. You will still be able to buy bread fresh on the day of delivery at you local store.
