The financial crisis for the new year is an awakening for us all as to how vulnerable we are, living in a corporate world when many of those with money have such greed and no scruples.

 

This situation is of course not new and we can see it in many forms eg. Drug companies making drugs for illness that people don’t need to have, created by food companies selling food with no consideration for human nutrition.

 

The dumbing down of the people to natural health, the mass advertising of stuff that comes in boxes and is not necessarily good for us, the rising cost of the Medical tax contribution is not a good state of affairs in a country that could show leadership in producing food with human nutrition a primary consideration.

 

The best news of the period, however, is the rapid increase in individuals growing their own food and getting back to gardening. They have chosen the path back to taking control of their own health out come and are learning and understanding we are what we eat.

 

It has taken a long time for doctors to push changes of diet to produce better out comes rather than producing another prescription. I even now hear from my own Doctor about how often diet is having better medical out comes than drugs in many cases.

To this end Venerdi is not deviating from an Organic stance however we are both suffering the higher costs attributed to the increasing differential between organic and non organic ingredients. We do expect this to subside as some people move to cheaper food options.
